For those of you who rely on the "tip credit" for employee wages, the minimum wage hike does not affect your minimum wage, which will remain at $2.13 an hour. In order to ensure that your use of the tip credit is lawful, confirm that you have a written, signed tip credit notice and authorization from your tipped employees and that your tipped employees are not contributing a portion of their tips to an unlawful tip-out pool.
